International support is pouring for striking dock workers in New Zealand’s Ports of Auckland.
The Ports of Auckland is which publically controlled, is pressing for the “casualization” of the port workers. Management is insisting on an end to regular shift schedules, the right to send workers home after three hours and the right to give no advance notice for dangerous, mandatory 12-hour and consecutive shifts.
